Q&A Bill Lambright

I’m starting a Q&A Series featuring different photographers I think you will find inspiring.  This month’s Q & A features travel and portrait photographer, Bill Lambright.  I love his how his images of daily life capture the little nuances mostly missed when exploring a new place or city.

You can see more of Bill’s work on Instagram .  Check him out!

How did you become interested in photography?
As a boy, I was fascinated with the interesting ways an otherwise ordinary scene can be represented on film. That interest carried over into adulthood until I acquired a used Minolta SRT-101 in 1990.

How would you describe your style?
My composition choices typically fall into travel, natural landscapes, and portraiture. Regardless, I try to take an image that is unique in its composition and causes an emotion in who is viewing it.

What inspires your work?

A scene that causes me to  stare  in awe.  Natural beauty in landscapes, interesting or bold architecture, people living their lives, and everyday things set against something beautiful, old relics, are the kinds of things that catch my eye when I am holding a camera.

What places inspire your Travel Photography?

A change in scenery and culture can yield a cornucopia of photographic opportunities. Iconic destinations like London, Paris, Rome, and Venice, with their amazing structures and culture are terrific places for street photography.
